Hi D&D, I gave my original email address as my blog address. I'm thinking that maybe the red "nest' was too bight a colour for D. when i had birds, I bought a black nestbox at a pet shop and the female immediately started to nest, laid 3 eggs which hatched. there is a small depression in the bottom of nestbox.
